Legacy Study Bible privacy policy

This policy applies to the Legacy Study Bible app provided by Legacy Church, including its mobile and desktop editions. It describes the app, not unrelated activities on the church website.

Your study data

The app does not require an account. Notes, highlights, bookmarks, reading position, reading-plan progress, and study-trail activity are stored in a database on your device. The app does not send those records to a developer-run account or cloud service.

The app has no advertising or analytics SDK and does not include a developer-run tracking or personal-data sales service. You do not need to provide your name, email address, or payment information to read and study.

Optional audio and internet connections

Bundled Bible text and study resources work offline. Choosing audio playback connects to external audio hosts. The current audio routes use eBible.org, Internet Archive, and AudioTreasure.com. AudioTreasure and mp3bible.ca also provide source and distribution information.

An audio host receives your IP address and the requested audio file as part of delivering the recording. It may also receive technical information supplied by your device or playback system. Those providers handle requests under their own policies. Offline reading does not require streaming audio.

Sharing, backups, and device services

When you export a backup, the app creates a plain JSON file and opens the system share interface. You choose where it goes. The file can contain your notes and study history and is not encrypted by the app. Share it only with destinations you trust. Importing a backup reads the file you select and replaces the corresponding local study data.

The app does not operate its own cloud backup service. Your device's backup settings and any storage, email, or sharing service you select may affect where copies are stored. Their policies apply to those copies.

Reminders and permissions

Optional daily verse reminders are scheduled on your device. The app uses the device time zone to schedule them and requests notification permission where required. You can control notifications in your device settings. Audio uses internet access and platform media-playback services to support background listening. File selection and sharing happen through the system interfaces you choose to open.

When you contact us

If you email or call for support, Legacy Church receives the information you choose to share, such as your contact details, message, and any attachments. Do not include sensitive notes or backups unless you have discussed what is needed. For questions about information you have sent us, contact legacychurchnola@gmail.com.

Your choices and deletion

You can use offline study without playing audio, choose whether to enable reminders, and decide whether to export or share your data. Use the app's available editing controls or your operating system's app-data controls to remove local records. Clearing data or uninstalling may erase study information, so export anything you want to keep first. Copies in exported files or device backups must be managed separately.

Families and children

The app does not require a child to create an account or send personal study data to the developer. Parents and guardians should supervise optional audio streaming and any sharing or support contact, since those actions involve external services or information the user sends.

Updates and questions

Changes to this policy will appear on this page with an updated effective date. For privacy questions about Legacy Study Bible, email legacychurchnola@gmail.com or call (504) 570-7550.
